SEEP is seeking new ways to promote our member organizations as well as to share inspirational stories from work done in the field!

The “Stories from the Field” feature box on the new SEEP Network homepage has been created as a means for SEEP member organizations to promote their own activities and successes directly to other members and visitors.

The goal of the “Stories from the Field” series is to highlight the activities of SEEP member organizations while underscoring the diversity of network membership and the wide-ranging impact that SEEP members have in the field. These stories provide a tremendous opportunity for member organizations to publicize their successful programs in the field!

Guidelines

  • Submissions should be no more than 500 words (350 is the suggested length).
  • Stories should share a “case study” highlighting the impact on an individual or small group that has resulted from an organization’s work at the field level in microenterprise development and/or microfinance.
  • Please submit a high resolution digital photo of the individual or group being described. Photos that illustrate the story by showing aspects of the featured program are encouraged.
  • Please include information about the location and name of the program, names of people and organizations involved, and any hyperlinks you would like included.

Suggested Format

Paragraph 1: A brief introduction to the individual or small group being featured in the story.

Paragraph 2: A brief description of the context and the program that is benefitting the featured individual or group.

Paragraph 3: A brief description of how this work connects to a broader setting – regional, organizational, or in the development industry as a whole (links to SEEP activities are encouraged, such as the use of SEEP publications or tools or involvement in SEEP learning initiatives).

Paragraph 4: Any additional information such as the future of the program or the work the organization is doing in that area.

To submit a story or make inquiries, please email stories@seepnetwork.org.
