As a fresh graduate, my assignment at MED-Net was to interract with microfinance clients by providing training in HIV&AIDS related issues, helping to encourage them develop appropriate responses to the HIV&AIDS crisis. I did this under the MED HIV&AIDS project as project assistant, later coordinating the project.

An economist by qualification, this opportunity of working with microfinance clients for the last four and ahalf years while at MED-Net on a social front, has helped me appreciate the role microfinance can play in the fight against HIV&AIDS. Interacting with clients to learn their coping mechanisms has been very informative for me.
