It’s that time again! The SEEP Network is developing the content for our Annual Conference. Our goal is to provide a platform in which to engage microenterprise development practitioners in dialogue on innovative practices and current topics in the field and to provide a platform to learn from one another. It is your work that is the highlight of our conference every year and is of extreme value to the microenterprise development community.

The SEEP Network Annual Conference Powering Connections ’09 will take place the week of November 2-6, 2009 at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington VA (Washington, DC metro area). Conference workshops will be held Wednesday and Thursday, November 4-5.

Please pay attention to the new guidelines for workshop proposals in the form attached below. We have established these criteria in hopes of standardizing and making more transparent a selection process that has become increasingly competitive (see the attached document for details).

Workshop proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis for the next two months and should be submitted to annualconference@seepnetwork.org. Our final deadline is close of business (5:00 PM EDT) on Monday July 20, 2009.

PLEASE NOTE
Due to the length of time SEEP has provided members to plan and develop the workshop sessions, SEEP is requesting that the proposals submitted be as close to final and complete as possible; preference will be given to submissions with confirmed panelists, titles, and descriptions. While there will be opportunities to update workshop descriptions leading up to the conference, the content of your workshops, your methodologies and your proposed speakers should be as close to final as possible when the proposal is submitted.
